The
island Ciovo is famous for its rich vegetation and its beautiful
stone and pebble beaches. During summer heats, the pinewoods create
pleasant shade and they are perfect either for families with children
or for those who need peace and quietness. |
Inhabitants
are mostly occupied with tourism, fishery and agriculture, growing
all kinds of mediterranean fruit and vegetables, producing homemade
wine and olive oil.
In the village there are restaurants offering all kinds of local
specialities. |

SLATINE is a small
fishermen and tourist village situated on the northeastern side
of the island Ciovo. It lies on the coast of Kaštela bay, opposite
to 1700 - years - old town SPLIT, only 8 km far from TROGIR, one
of the most beautiful UNESCO' s towns. |

For those who
like to discover new areas, there is a possibility of organized
daily excursions.
During tourist season, there is a boat line from Slatine to Split
and during the whole year there are regular bus lines from Slatine
to Trogir and to Split.
